Opening up our cafepress online shop
Laurette makes designs
Whenever Laurette has the time she doodles some illustrations which never see the daylight. She is only showing them to me. Now with our quest to make money online all those illustrations from the past have a purpose. These illustrations will become part of our product range.

Having read a lot of “how to make money with your weblog or website” posts and articles I remembered Cafepress.
Cafepress
has a large range of merchandise.
So we thought of a name for our online shop. Unfortunatly dutch design was already taken so after some brainstorming we came up with dutchdelight. Watch what we have to offer here or keep on reading how we made our decisions.
Decisions and choices
Setting up Cafepress
Registration at Cafepress and setting up an online shop was easy. As we have our own design agency preparing and uploading our design wasn’t difficult either.
Adding our design to the different products was a little trickier. Somehow I can’t get the same product with different designs. I will look into that the coming week.
Customizing our online shop isn’t possible either. Well we can upload a logo and have our customized header. I think Laurette will take that for her account.
I guess you can customize your online shop when you have a premium account. But we haven’t got any revenue yet so we can’t spend any money (remember rule #1). We leave our online shop in Cafepress default design.
Which illustration to start with?
This decision was very easy, as you might have read in about us, we are expecting our first baby. Our choice felt on “Sunshine” to put on baby and toddler products. So if you got friends or have a baby yourself check out Dutch Delight.
And what is a baby without love? Also with Valentine’s day coming up we thought our illustration “love” would be very appropiate. So if you are love, got a secret lover again don’t hesitate and check out Dutch Delight
I am really exited I truly think our online shop Dutch Delight could make our first revenue. If you like our products or think one of your friends would like them please tell them.
